First of all, Happy Mother’s Day to all you Momma’s out there! I love that we set aside a whole day to celebrate Mom’s. As I’ve gotten older, I have been able to really appreciate all my Mom has done for me throughout the years.
From the age of 8 to 10, I was to say the least….a handful. My mom was always so patient with me, even though I would have meltdowns because I didn’t know what I wanted to wear when she had already helped me pick out 5 different outfits (I was a little diva…I know).
In high school, she always encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and try new things, which I didn’t think was important at the time, but now I know being uncomfortable in situations is when I grow the most! My Mom has also taught me to not take myself too seriously, and laugh at your own jokes (and sometimes you’re the only one laughing).
One of the most important lessons that my Mom has taught me, is to be independent. She instilled in me that you don’t need to rely on other people to get things done and that I have the skills and resources that I need to accomplish anything I want!
I am so thankful that I have been blessed with a caring, honest, loving, and hilarious Mom.
Thanks for everything, Mom! I love you!
